In the French Pyrenees, just above the Spanish border, lies the charming Domain of Flo and Rob where they rent out eight idyllic luxury Gîtes (4-6 people) and two Lodges (4 people) under the name Pyrénées Passions. It's a pleasant place to recharge in these southern regions, where church bells are still rung by hand and milk is still bought straight from the farmer.
What to do in the Pyrenees?
Plenty! From the limestone massif Monte Perdido (Cirque Gavarnie – UNESCO heritage) to a trip to Lourdes. Or discover the hills and mountains, picturesque villages and beautiful cities such as Toulouse and Pau. Experience a kingdom for walking (walking routes GR10 – GR11 – HRP) and cycling (Tour de France passes). Enjoy the benefits of spring water and wellness in Loudenvielle or Luchon.
Sporting activities
There are plenty of opportunities for sporting activities. Think water fun (kayaking, rafting, hydrospeed), paragliding, canyoning, speleology, horse/donkey riding, climbing and scrambling in the great outdoors or in climbing parks. Or what about a visit to underground rivers, caves or an observatory (Pic du Midi).
Table d'Hôtes - dining together
All gîtes have their own kitchenette, but you hardly need to cook. In the summer, Rob and Flo offer 4 or 5 opportunities to dine together. With various themes that also cater to children. Such as a French evening, a DIY-BBQ, a pizza evening ('choose your own toppings'), huge-really-large pancakes and more! The host and hostess create a convivial and relaxed atmosphere. Because as Flo says: "Our smile is always genuine!" and you can feel it!
That said, Flo and Rob are big fans of the restaurants in the surrounding area. Within a radius of 3 to 5 km you'll find restaurants with excellent quality.
Kidsproof
Pyrénées Passions has a 5-star rating from Kidsproof Holidays. Children don't spend their holiday indoors. There's plenty to do on the grounds such as a lovely swimming pool, trampoline, play area with swings and slide, table tennis table, children's activities, boules, but above all plenty of other playmates.
