A 15-minute drive from Faro and the beach lies Casa Porta Azul. This old farmhouse, more than 100 years old, has been extensively renovated over the past century. Owners Matthijs and Sylvia Heuvelman have ensured through recent renovations that the house has regained its old charm, now combined with modern comfort! There are 2 apartments (2-person and 4-person) with fully equipped kitchens, cosy dining areas and bathrooms with showers and toilets and air conditioning, a penthouse for 4 people with 2 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen with cooking island, sitting area with Dutch TV, bathroom with bath and walk-in shower and private balcony with washing machine and dryer. There are also 7 rooms with bathrooms with showers and toilets, air conditioning and a large, divisible double bed. All apartments and rooms have air conditioning and their own external door with private terrace. The garden with trees full of lemons, oranges, figs, almonds, olives and not to forget the giant palm trees offers plenty of opportunities for shady spots. For cooling off, our (heated) swimming pool offers the chance for a refreshing dip. You can also relax wonderfully in our jacuzzi and enjoy the rural views. In the kitchen or pool bar you can always get a refreshing drink.
The Penthouse has two bedrooms. The bathroom features characteristic Portuguese tiles and includes a toilet, bathtub and walk-in shower. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a cooking island and a seating area (with Dutch television). From the hallway there is access to a private balcony with washing machine and dryer. The penthouse is equipped with air conditioning for both cooling and heating.
The four-person apartment has two bedrooms. One bedroom on the ground floor and one on the first floor, which is designed as a mezzanine. On the ground floor there is also a kitchen, dining area and bathroom with shower and toilet. The apartment is located on the ground floor and has a spacious terrace.
Casa Porta Azul features 7 hotel rooms for 1 to 3 persons. In our rooms you will find a combination of modern comfort and Portuguese influences such as the characteristic tiled floors in the bathrooms. All our rooms have their own bathroom with shower and toilet and a large double bed that can be split into two single beds. The rooms are also equipped with air conditioning for both cooling and heating. All rooms have their own external door with access to a terrace, where you can enjoy a drink while taking in views of the (sub)tropical garden. There are three types of rooms; Standard, Comfort and Luxury
