Borgo Crispiero, A Bellissimo B&B In The Hills Of Le Marche

ONCE A SMALL HAMLET CONSISTING OF 4 FARMHOUSES DATING FROM THE EARLY YEARS OF THE 20TH CENTURY, WHICH FOR SOME REASON WERE ABANDONED AND SUBSEQUENTLY FELL INTO DISREPAIR. WHAT THE NEW OWNERS (DUTCH/BELGIAN FAMILY) HAVE DONE WITH IT IS NOTHING SHORT OF A MIRACLE. TIP: THEY LOVE BEAUTIFUL THINGS!
As you arrive from Castelraimondo, you see the borgo on a hill six hundred metres high, with a phenomenal view of the Apennines. You cover the last kilometre via a white road to the B&B, surrounded by gently rolling hills and mountains.
The borgo (of four buildings) was built around 1900, surrounded by eight hectares of agricultural land. During the restoration (2018/2019), as many original elements as possible were reused to give the bed & breakfast an authentic appearance, so that it fits permanently into the landscape.
On the site of the former farmhouse you now find three residential houses, a saltwater swimming pool and a portico where the outdoor kitchen is located. Since you are in the middle of nature, you hear little other than whistling birds, chirping crickets and occasionally the rustling of a soft breeze through the trees.
The Borgo is located on the border between Le Marche and Umbria. Within an hour you can visit the following attractions:
° cities such as Macerata (open-air operas in summer), San Severino Marche,
the Adriatic Sea with coastal resorts and many outlets
° Umbria with its famous places: Spello, Spoleto, Montefalco, Gubbio, Assisi, Bevagna,
etc
° the Monti Sibillini nature park with its breathtaking Castelluccio, the Frasassi caves
° for sports enthusiasts there are mountain biking opportunities, hiking and cycling
tours in the area
